The Bitwell Center in Indianapolis was buzzing with holiday spirit last Friday, and Pat McAfee of the Indianapolis Colts was at the center of it all.

McAfee hosted the sixth annual Holidays for Heroes event last Friday for current military members and veterans – a group that has always been close to his heart. He teamed up with Wish for our Heroes organization for this festive party.

The group strives to make sure that military members and veterans aren’t in need over the holiday season. They want to ensure a joyful season by providing shelter, food, and gifts.

Not only did McAfee host the event, but he was also the entertainment. He wowed the crowd with a stand-up comedy routine, and showcased that McAfee humor that is Mountaineer fans have known and loved for years.

The event was a friendly reminder in a time of hustle and bustle to take time to enjoy each other and most importantly – laugh.
